Guessing you go to a place that sprays cars? That is normally acrylic enamel or something with acrylic which dries faster. Cures in a week vs a month or more like Nitro lacquer.

Now I'm REALLY digging that. Still a bit translucent, but metallic enough to be noticable.

I took some daylight pictures. It is much greener than the pictures show. (Except the last two.) I have since added another coat and then will do one more.

I believe that is pretty close to the colour that I picked up to spray my jag-stang project in.. (though my body requires a lot more work still)

Cool! I am really liking it. I think the white pearl guard and cream pickups will look nice on it.

Now that is starting to look very nice indeed.

Color coats are done now. Going to give it a couple of days to dry before hitting it with clear.

nice, i'm either gonna be rocking a mint guard and cream pups, or a bwb guard.

at least that is what i currently have material of, who knows what will be about when i finally start/finish the damned thing (goal is summer 2014)

Starting to look a bit like Ocean Turquoise Metallic with some more green. I like it.

Thanks! I just finished the last clear coat. Now I get to let it set. Fortunately I have other projects to work on while it dries so I should be able to leave it alone. LOL

I wetsanded the body and got to polishing it.

that does look rather good, i think it might almost look better with a black guard. i trying to imagine.

I like it but don't you wish you'd change the pickguard shape so it matched the lower horn?

i can't remember what version of the mustang template i used, but it fit the bottom horn perfectly. i think it my have actually been a 69 re-issue tempate i used. not sure tho.

Thanks! Black guard could look cool. For some reason I like these with pearl guards. I swapped my white guard for a black pearl on my Fiesta and then changed it back. The white pearl just looked right to me. I would be worried it would look too dark with black and dark green. The white is pretty clean and it is a old Jag-Stang guard.

If it was a custom body, I would have but it was a stock one with all the holes already. It is a wonky body shape to begin with so the wonky guard design seems fitting. LOL

I used a Mustang guard with a steeper curve on my stained Jag-Stang project and it seemed to match the horn pretty well.
