I never been there but I talked to them over the phone, they seem like nice people. It's a big mom and pop store with an internet business. It seems like Fender is sending these smaller stores product earlier than the Big Boys. That's why Alto had them last week.

I really want one of these. I dunno why. Wish they had more color selections though. Black would be nice.

The only thing that bothers me is the tremolo placement...but for the price, tis tempting. Except I'd end up replacing everything but the damn neck. :\

I don't feel too bad since nobody else seems to have them at this time. Plus I just picked up a Cyclone to play with.

What's up with the trem placement? It's moved up toward the bridge like the Mex Jag/Jazzies, isn't it? In which case it's a tiny modification to fix a fairly enormous flaw in the overall design. Can't see how that would be a problem.

Wouldn't moving the trem forward create a sharper angle between itself and the bridge, creating more tension and making the strings less likely to be knocked out of the bridge saddles? Good thing in my opinion.

I think you both just said the same thing.

I don't think it would matter too much to me having the trem moved up a little....if it's a good guitar that's not what I would be hung up on.

I'd argue that it makes up a large part of the characteristic of these guitars, rather than being an 'enormous flaw', but will grant you that this mod does make it easier for n00bs.
