It's a Subsonic so technically Longscale (27"), but I'm looking for a Mustang/Duo-sonic to balance it.

Pat I don't think you've shared your '70 jag with shortscale. I saw it over at OSG though, at first t looked like a wreck but you've done a great job of bring it back

love it.
i really like the way hotrails look in mustangs.
i wish the hotrails i have fitted in my mustang, the route is JUST too narrow.

How does that play? It looks very cool but I'd be hesitant to buy one without playing it first.

and this one was a wee shallow. it sounds great. the neck pickup is a neck pup from a road worn strat. fits in well, great sound.
this particular hot rail has one of the most fantastic sounding cleans i've ever heard. the one i had in my strat was muddy as shit. this one chimes like a bell. *chef kissy fingers*
thx.

Since I sometimes think of this as my future hypothetical Mustang: please don't.

hahaha i would never touch the route or the pickups since they're original.
i was thinking of a different guitar. the routes of the mustang would fit the hot rails easily.
i think i want to do that trade but it'll be a few more weeks 'cause i'm back in cambridge this sunday.

Ahhhh fuck. Since tuning the Dano back up to A, it's become a far more complicated decision. Hmm...
