naw, it's a CAR CP jaguar. the picture make's it look metallic-ish.
(unless he refined it of course)

Mhmm, CAR Classic Player. That camera's horrible, it's a bit darker than shown.
Thanks for the compliment, though, even if it was misinformed.

how do you like that VJ? is yours modded? i've always wanted to play one, but can't ever find them in stock.

No mods, but I'm thinking about getting some sort of reverb put in.
It's really a nice amp, especially for the money. Just a super (superrrr) simple clean tube tone that gets crunchy quickly.

Tim, that tele turned out very nicely! Super classy. And the Elgita's neck looks great, really cool that it has your jm's profile.

Neck is replacement made by my mate Ant (setchellguitars.co.uk) copying the musima headstock shape (I still have the original neck, it's too fat!) but using the profile of my AV Jazzmaster. It's been rewired and the output jack (previously 5-pin) changed for an Ibanez slimline thing.
how much did the new neck set you back, tim (if you don't mind my asking)?
also, the tele looks proper lovely.

Tele looks super classy Tim, I love the neck pickup/pickguard. The way it looks together is gorgeous.

£150 in total- that's £120 for the work and £30 for nitro paint I supplied. Really this is mate's rates though, and Ant squeezes his luthiery in around a full-time job. Shame, as he's very talented. Also, turnaround time understandably isn't too quick. PM me if you want his contact details.
By way of comparison, the Allparts neck on the Tele was £200.

Your tele is lovely, Tim. Think I'm going to get the same tuners for my SG. And those Ikea moving boxes are one of the cleverest things ever designed, in my opinion.

Cheers. Yep I love the feel of plastic tuners and these Klusons are gorgeous. The musima ones look 'a bit funny' but they're actually okay and pretty tight.
IKEA: £5 for two boxes, but I ain't ever moving again after the hassle of this week. We got to Berlin and back with all our shit in one carload, but somehow in the last year I've accumulated all the shit in the world. (kicks box marked 'pedal making shit')
