There was a lot of interest in the 2-in-1 prototype which I have in Classifieds at a very good price, but noone really seems interested when it comes to the crunch. So I'm not going to speculate to accumulate anymore, I'm only going to build pedals when people actually want to buy them and make a proper request for one.
Hey Mike, I will definitely have the pedal.... I like it a lot !! ... I just need some funds first, had a few too many spends recently.

Don't suppose you're interested in trades at all... ?

Vox Dist booster / Vox Wah / Ibanez FL9 Flanger / behringer graphic EQ / jag pickup ... ?

it's either that or I'll try sell some this stuff in the next few weeks to fund this.

O

that vox wah sounds tempting, i've never been happy with my crybaby. do i have anything you could use?

Apart from this pedal of mikes there's nothing I'm after at the moment...

I could do with one of these to power an 18v pedal I have on my board...

Thanks for the offer but I'm kinda full of gear at the moment. I can hold onto the pedal for you indefinitely though, so just let me know down the line.

Hi Mike. What version of the COT50 did you build for mickie? The 1 knob or the 3 knob? and how easy would it be to knock out another one?

A built an improved version of the 1knob version with an extra "Nature" control. The original just has a Bias control ("Structure" on the version I built), it's effectively a Boost/Overdrive, the "Nature" control can be used to tweak the tone of the pedal from a Treble Booster to a more full-range Overdrive, it sounds much better than the original circuit, I breadboarded both before settling on that.

I don't think I have seen a 3-knob Schematic.

If you were interested in the same one I could knock one out for the same as I did Mickie's (£60) no problem. Probably would be finished in 2-3 weeks or so, it's a shame you didn't mention it earlier as I could have marked a case to be drilled tonight with Fredo's overdrive if so.

Sounds good mark me down for one. Doesn't have a volume control at all then?

Nope, the original doesn't either:

It gets to a nice "above unity" crunch when you're getting gain in the sound anyway so it would be somewhat extraneous.

Any preferences for Colour/LED? I have a nice light blue metallic paint I bought yesterday I'm itching to use on something.

Blue sounds good to me! I'll leave it up to you on LED choice i don't mind that much, as long as its not red or pink i'm good. I assume its standard jacks on the side, dc jack on the top kinda thing?

it'll look like and be laid out exactly like this but with the new face decal on the back. I'm thinking either yellow, blue or green would look nice with the Metallic Light Blue paintjob.

Green LED would be great if you have one. Could you do it without the decals on the front?

No skin off my nose, plain jane on the front and a Green LED.

I had to nurse a flu ridden moody cow tonight which meant I couldn't go for a pint with Doog, which was rubbish. But after she fell asleep at 9:30 I did at least get to finish this for Fredo.

Hopefully I'll have beer with Doog soon.

haha.. Nooooo! That's part of the design, the scratchiness is completely normal. Hence the "Crackle Okay" on the ZVex website videos.
