i have not gotten into any blurring or anything. but then again, i have not picked up a camera for a while. i feel like i have photographer's block. HAHA!

you get slag from smelting metal. that is a pit heap made of stone and dust and clay. nothing to do with slag. people often call pit heaps slag heaps but incorrectly so (wikipedia has it wrong).
