Even on the Peavey official demo here he has to take the Preamp to 3 on the LOW input, Master up to 6 and THEN back his guitar to halfway to get any form of clean out of it, and it's incredibly quiet.

You basically can't do what I was doing with my amp last night and get a clean sound by backing off the volume, not to mention the low input of my amp is a great clean amp in it's own right, and loves pedals.

That 12AX7 needs to go then.

I was very attracted by it's purpleness. Of course, then they went and stuck a digital reverb in...

In fact it might even be that model. It's close to that if it's not anyway.

The shop is hardly taking anything in at the moment. If it's not something unusual or a great deal for them they're likely to say no just because they're carrying a lot of stock and the financial climate and all that. I'm not sure if they would take part ex but I can certainly hook you up with a phone number if you want to give them a ring to find out.

It really is very pretty, Rob. Subtler in the flesh, too. And you'll pick up a cab for fuck all. Or buy James's, so he can buy the Hiwatt. It's even the right colour.

that hiwatt looks amazing, same kind as dave gilmour uses.

good lord, the sound in those peavey videos is horrible. could they have recorded that first one in a brighter room??? and the second one is all in the left channel. wtf? not to mention some super nasty sounding digital compression.
