This is the black to red burst that the Jaguar HH came in. The blue burst is the one that matches it. I can find stock images but not one of a decent size and clarity.

Fucking yes!
Same guy with the blackstone 80s monster has a Black Pearl Dust strat. These little pics are all I had before (that common thing of the thumbnails being active but the larger images being 404'd)
and now I have
this
He also mentiones Bluestone, and there's a blue pearl dust as well. Everytime I find get images for a new colour I find out about two more I've never heard of.

I love finding out new stuff. I found this - The Fender Strat (that was the real model name, not stratocaster). Released in 80's it was a "souped-up" variation of the stratocaster. And it was seen in :

STARLITE BLUE:
It doesn't look very blue
but according to this thread it was confirmed by a guy from Fender:

It seems like most of the info we need is in a period of about 1980-1997.
This might be Aqua Blue
And this is Firestorm red. I saw one in person (and talked about it earlier in this thread before I got involved in the making of the flash chart) and it's quite a cool finish. I found some pics but they were far too dark to use.
I also read that the yellow they used is Graffiti Yellow. It's the series they created the colour for. Very close to Monaco Yellow.

Obviously a big part of this project is sourcing images for the harder to find colours, but it's also improving the images that have already been found.
I had an ok but not great Monaco Yellow and although the newer one isn't perfect it's a lot better in terms of matching the stock image style and being a lot 'smoother' in it's colour. Hurrah.

I've found a Japanese site that is a bit annoying to navigate but has a bit of info on some rare colours.
Google translation link
Unfortunately all of the images come up '403 Forbidden' when I try to load them, but he usually tells you some info like what years a colour was available or what model it was on. I think this may have even been the source for the French site.

Sundance Yellow
Shamrock Green
Heather Lilac
Persimmon Orange
Calypso Pink
Raven Black
They might have been used on other models but according to
this article an acoustic that was set to use them never got past R&D

For these rarer colours it will be a good idea to know which models they came on.
The H.M. strat (second version, flyod rose or pro vibrato bridge instead of kahler) came in...
Blackstone
Bluestone
Redstone
Brite White
Bluestone is a very difficult finish to google because BlueStone is the same as BluesTone and people like shit music.
----
The H.R.R. (Hot-Rod Reisssue) Strats were made in Japan 1990-95 and came in...
Blue Foto-Flame
Foto-Flame
Crimson Foto-Flame
----
John Jorgenson Hellecaster came in Black Sparkle

Blue Peral Dust (dis. 1996)
Carribean Mist (dis. 1996)

I have that exact strat pic in there now under Emerlad Green Transparent (thin its number 60 or so) but the green mist pic is great. Any idea of a number for that colour?
