i got into the Clash late. like in my mid-twenties. it was a tape of their singles. but it basically changed my life & i actually don't think i would be posting on here had i had become so entralled & "life-changed."

I was thinking back and I remember they were on the demo disc of the SEGA CD I got when I was a kid and I wore the shit out of it listening to I fought the law. Such good memories of that demo disc.

i remember seeing the video for london calling (not when it was realeased because my parents were christian nazi facists when it came to mtv back then), but probably on some retrospective or VH1 in like 90 or 91 and i just loved the look of it, and the song was really fucking immense. i filed that away for years and then i started reading high fidelity as a young adult, 20 or so, and there were so many references to them that i started to kind of feel like i needed to investigate more. every song i heard of theirs was amazingly raw, if not in production in emotion. then of course there's obvious connection to green day, my second favorite band of all time...and the love affair was sealed.

if i'm having a shit day at work and i want to slap someone, i plug my headphones into my iphone and crank up clash until i've gottent he pissies out of my system.

yeah its weird i saw a Clash documentary in 1999 or something on VH-1. i don't think it was "Behind the Music" or anything. that was my impetus.

i don't see why apologizing, seeing error in one's wayz, & conforming to others political beliefs so you won't get banned on Shortscale as being schizo. i see it as just more name-calling, mudslinging & ad hominem attacks.

if i were not afraid of being banned i would not have flip-flopped.

why the attacks continue i do not understand. it is unfathomable. but i can conform. i can wear the grey flannel suit. i can be nice!!!

Everybody is willing to give you a fresh start, but when you half-ass apologize, then post several French Toast pics it looks like you're being a jerk. Nobody is asking you to chnage who you are. You spoke your peace and if that's it stick by it, but don't be all over the place. You will not gain anybody's favor with this act, and yes it appears schizo. That's not name calling that's the flow of this thread and how it appears.

Sorry if you think you've been misuderstood. Do your thing, but maybe do it better or more clear?
