I actually forgot to watch any of these after the first or second one. I'll get round to it eventually.

I think my shouting has definately got more and more Eddie Argos and less "generic Mid-West American" over the last few years, I'll totally take that as a compliment, I love AB
Thanks ONCE AGAIN for listening guys, I really enjoy sharing all this stuff with people- being a solo recordist can get pretty lonesome sometimes.

Currently it's crappy quality, but here's NUMBA SEEKS: essentially a clipshow, popular this time of year.
BUT!
You do get to hear some actual album audio! (albeit unfinished)

i forgot to reply after video 5. final product sounded rad after vocals.
question on your drumhead selection or lack there of. you obviously sunk in 1000's of pounds on gear but your drum tone is only going to sound as good as a shredded up piece of cock skin.
a new snare head only costs 10 bucks.

i really like the low piano singular notes on collection of bones. what did you use for those?

It's pretty stunning that you can drum well enough to keep a steady tempo for a whole song. I'm a decent drummer with a band but hopeless playing alone, teach me. I also like your basslines. Good stuff.

Dunno what you mean? Doog's drums sound great. Also if you watch the videos, he clearly doesn't spend big bucks on recording gear.
Sounding great man.

Sounds alright to me on the record, which is the point. Besides, I can't tune drums for shiiiiiiiiit. And bear in mind, the way I'm recording is hardly very hifi- a spanky brand new snare tuned perfectly isn't gonna sound amazingly better anyway.
And yeah, it's not big bucks recording stuff- an ancient Boss 8 track, a few secondhand microphones, free/basic recording programmes..

Uhm.. a piano. Lady Doog has a nnnnnnnice electric piano in London which I dragged to my room for a few days to hamfistedly record some parts. All other synths are a MicroKorg or a Casio CZ-1.

I used a click track or demo version of the song with programmed MIDI drums on headphones whilst recording pretty much every drum take... but I'd like to think I'm a fairly solid drummer on my own. Try practising with a metronome/clicktrack in headphones- the more you do it, the more solid you'll get just from becoming accustomed to ZE CLICK.
CHEERS GUYS!

More farting about and audio, rather than hardcore recording footage I'm afraid- everything I've been doing recently has been small bits of recording here and there.
However, the final song I'm writing for the record, I will document the whole process; should be pretty fun!

wooooahh woooahowooowooo
Usually squeezebox is like rubbing teh cat up the wrong way but this is greeaaat... love the tapping of the keys sound. The harmonies are tight as and the
melodies and the bass combo fit righteously . Handclaps and a dead drop cool percussion in my left ear. There isn't anything not to dig on this.

Hahaha, cheers man, that means a lot to me. It's actually a chord organ rather than a squeezebox, but it's pretty much the same beast:
Mine's more orange and broken though.
Percussion was courtesy of my crappy old office chair recorded 3 times as I beat 4 years worth of arse imprint out of it with 2 drumsticks.
