what the fuck? biffy are the scottish feeder? you really have to check out their first 3 albums; blackened sky, vertigo of bliss and infinity land. they dropped to shit after this.
puzzle and onwards is when biffy became really, really bad.
this should kill any feeder comparisons.

That's Ash. They sound like a GCSE rock band, like as if someone had done rock to GCSE level, but not bothered to go beyond that.

I've got Blackened Sky, Infinity Land and Puzzle. I find Infinity Land to be most acceptable, the others don't do anything for me. Like I said before, they seem too forced for me to enjoy.

And yet you bought three albums?

I was given them. Right, so first I'm being criticised for not liking them, now I'm being criticised for having their stuff and not liking them? Would you prefer me to say they're shit and not actually to know what they sound like? Fisting hell.

I just hate the name "Biffy Clyro" and therefore reject them utterly.
EDIT: Then again I did used to play in a band called 'Penis Penis And the Penis Penises' for a short while so go figure.

I was confused why it seemed you'd spent money on a band you don't like. Why are you crying so much?
All I'm criticising here are the baseless and inaccurate comparisons flying around. The Feeder one was just the icing on the cake. It debunks any valid criticism in one fell swoop.

I admitted that the Feeder one was overly harsh and inaccurate. Why am I crying so much? You're doing that thing where you goade people for having an opinion that you don't happen to like then bitch back at them like they're crazy for getting wound up, and I'm sick of it. Fuck this noise.

I didn't realise that was "a thing that I do". But it's nice that you feel you can psycho-analyse me, throw out a barbed comment like that and then quit the thread.
Good one.
Personally I find all this "they're forced", "the singing sounds too clean" stuff completely baffling - I am allowed to find it baffling and comment on that, you know.

I want to like 'em but this thread kinda summarizes my opinion of them... they're a bit confused. A lack of conviction throughout. Parts I think "Wow'' and other bits like "huh, why ?" you could have done that better. It sound like they've never thrown any songs in the bin and used all that they have.
I always thought they were similar to Idlewild who I appreciate more so...

Some of Idlewilds 'hope is important' album is outstanding without trying to be clever. I get the impressions these guys are trying to be complex for the sake of it in parts and most of the time it does'nt work- for me anyway.

Biffy are an AWESOME band, one of the few that I own ALL of their albums. I remember first getting into them when I heard 'questions and answers', got the album, and its like "yeah, the mellowish indie stuff is cool and all, but NOW EAT SOME FUCKING TECHNICAL METAL RAAAWWWK!!"
Puzzles is clearly a modern classic album, and something no other bands around at the moment can even touch.

A second colour for CV Squier '60s!
Those cream covers/knobs would have to go though, they make it look like the guitar has a cold.
Mint guard generally calls for mintout.
