If they made a Washburn Idol with tele pickups and sunburst, I would buy one. A friend of mine had one but I'm not a big fan of humbuckers. :/

I used to be all about humbuckers. I am thinking of putting humbucker sized P90s in it though, or WRHBs.

I would like to get it reradiused from 14" to 12" too.

I do like WRHB and I used to have Phat Cats in my first guitar ever, it sounded pretty sweet.

I have seen those but that burst looks awful to me. It needs more black and some red in there. That guitar just looks cheap to me. I also have never played one which makes me skeptical of buying one.

Step one: Get offset
Step Two: your amp choices are Fender, Orange, Vox
Step Three: Get a girl to play keyboard or bass
Step Four: Dress like a lumberjack and wear girl pants
Step Five: Either be straight edge or drink PBR.
Step six: Fuzz
You forgot the weedy, nerd drummer, asshole.

Considering that we're never running short of weekend warrior SRV wannabes, I don't think strats will ever be out of vogue or "underground" anytime soon

I have nothing against Strats, but they don't appeal to me because they are the default. I get no kick. It's not political. The reason that there is this site and Offset is that they aren't solely Strat players (et al). The gum has already been chewed.

As far as music goes, I haven't been able to detect a pattern in what I like. I have no idea what they play or wear or smoke. I like the sound. These days most bands are off-label because the labels are somewhat irrelevant, compared with the heyday. The revolution gets televised from our own homes. Eventually all creative activity gets over technique or materials and has to start making decent work again.

Here's the only genre surprise of the past 20 years: alt.country is where people liked the sounds of folk instruments, but not the trappings of dumbed down, phony accents and flag bearers. Poser wankers are the same in any movement, unless it's a poser wanker movement (which has a predictable stench). Country was flat-lining after Hank Williams died, except for the occasional ripple, mostly from within city limits.
