Yeah, if yr iphone can multitask and route audio between programs.
Note that playalong type of tasks won't work even with multitasking - tried iPod and Pandora with iOS 4 and it will not allow both audio streams open at the same time at this point.
Im not knocking irig at all, Im just wishing it could be a one-stop-shop vacation rig.

I understand fully. I would love it to be too, looks like some things are just in our hands to make happen (recording, slowdown, more playalong options, etc). There's more coming.
Two days to go... dealers are already asking about the next shipment, before the first is out to them so preorders seem to be pretty hot with dealers too.

I'm unsurprised, you've made a cracking product which has tipped many people (including me) over the edge into getting an iPhone.

there are some pretty decent android recording apps around. . . do you guys plan to port this app or some other version over to that platform?

There is no development currently, but we're gauging interest on all platforms. An example of this in reverse is the demand we've seen for GrooveMaker on PC/Mac (again, very old school but we didn't expect so much interest) which also caught our attention enough to consider. We'd have to review the requests and the market, but currently we are not developing a version at this time.

a new platform won't happen that fast But we're considering all viable options. I look forward to "AmpliTube Brain Implant" myself. As long as the jack goes in somewhere more comfy than the Alpha version did. *gulp*

One more day to go! Give the app a try, then you can pick up the iRig adapter and really get some good use out of it VERY soon.

i'll keep checking back. turns out that while there are some decent recording apps for android, none of them are multi-track yet. i guess a lot of this has to do with the amount of differing hardware. i've seen threads in other forums mentioning that the motorola droid (my phone) is certainly capable, but that doesn't mean software is around the corner. it's a shame because the cpu on this thing is incredibly powerful, much more so than the first desktops i was using to record back in the early days!
anyway, thanks, and hope to see something soon!

Great. You are correct that hardware fragmentation can make things a bit more difficult.
whats the street price on that thing again. I realize you probably posted it further back, but my sheer laziness is a bit overwhelming.
$39.99 - major dealers (online and brick and mortar) should be carrying it soon.

Great! If you are going to purchase online, do check out all the online retailers you can. I know this isn't the typical pricepoint that cracks the free shipping threshold but maybe someone is shipping it free or cheaper and also it might be a matter of who actually has it in a short while, it is moving quite well out of here.

Yes, sometimes shipping when we don't have a distribution network like dealers can be prohibitive. That's one of many reasons we value our dealers/distributors!

At the moment DV247 are showing out of stock, rather than pre-order which makes me think that my pre-order was not filled due to high demand as have not heard from them (they said they would mail me when stock came in
Balls.
