Man, much respect...... ur a good man.... good things will come too u, I wish ur family the best.....just remember what goes around comes around... u will be repaid in some form........taylornutt wrote:I wish this thread was going to have a happy ending for me, but I am going to have put this whole thing on hold for the time being. My dad has been out of work for a long time and my parents are really struggling to make it right now. Instead of spending $700 on myself I feel God leading me to give the money to my parents instead. I don't feel right spending lavishly on myself when my family really needs it. I haven't given up on my Jazzmaster, but I am putting it aside to take care of what's most important.
Thanks for your help and advice on this thing. God Bless you and have a Merry Christmas!

it doesn't matter. making comments like those don't add anything. He is doing a great thing, why can't you leave it at that?

It's not an attack on, or even a questioning of, god, it's more simple than that. Per scripture god does not tell us what to do or even guide us. If he didn't leave our decisions to our own strength of character there would be no hell, or penance, or even sin. When someone is a strong and moral person in a world where many aren't and it's very easy (and often beneficial) not to be, they should be proud of themselves. If there is a god, he certainly would be proud of them.stewart wrote:that would be.... illogicalportugalwillie wrote:if he thinks it is God. And you think it is his own morals . . .
