Surely the new Super-Sonic having a Fender badge is good for current owners, I would have thought it would have less of an effect on their re-sale value than having more 'current' Squier Super-Sonics.

It's the same Jazzmaster shaped humbucker that's in the Offset Special... not even a JM pickup.

Yup. Me too. I always liked the idea of the treble slanted bridge PU on the Squier from a functional perspective but always thought it looked ass.
That orange finish one could benefit from a black guard, IMO.

Also: hoping that 'new Super-Sonic four-bolt neck plate' means 'New to Super-Sonics standard 4 bolt neck plate with standard pocket'.

new supersonic 4 bolt neck plate means the one they built for it 15 years ago. with the strap button on it and all fucked up in shape.
