I think with a single ply black pickguard the JM would be sweet.

mahog is rather porous and has no natural oils, so. tho its a hardwood, its not the heaviest of the heavy. gibbys are heavy as fuck all, but you have to factor in how godamn thick they are, plus the maple cap thats over 1.26 inches at the center and carved down to .2 inches or so(that may not be 100 percent accurate on newer or current models) anywho. def not heavier than northern rock maple, or north western ash.
i still like that jazzy, just wish they would have added binding.

Played the new Jazzmaster the other day. Felt quite nice tbh. I hate ate hate glossy necks though (The JM Jazzmaster is my ideal neck finish). Not a fan of the humbuckers, but the tuneomatic bridge felt stable enough and it's a pretty cool no-frills deal.

Sounds pretty good... unfortunately, it only showcases both pickups in-phase, and none of the other options.
Jazzie's nothing special; sounds like a humbucker

I don't think the Mustang looks good with P90's. The sound may matter but most of these comments relate to the esthetics. I love P90's BTW

It would look better if the P90s had black covers.
