What size pots should I buy for this? And should I buy mini pots? Also for the fifth knob which will be a master volume, can I use a standard pot? Anyone know of what pots were originally used in these? They have a little tab so they don't spin. I would like to get these if I could.

I don't really know as I've never got to look at the guts of a Starcaster but you'd want either 500k or 1 megs since you're using the RI WRHB. Most people prefer the 1 meg with those but I found 500k work just fine. I'm not really sure how they wire the master volume but a standard pot would work fine. Also, mini pots will definitely make your life easier getting them in and out of the F-holes.

Piece of advice. Tie a string to the shaft of the pot and run the string through the hole so you're not fumbling around with the pots; it will make wiring a lot easier. For the jack, keep the lead from the pots really long and run it through the hole. Wire the jack outside of the guitar and drop it in. Do the same thing with the three way switch; you do all of that and it will make wiring it a lot easier.

It sucks but with a few tricks, it can definitely be a better experience.

That headstock is so cool. You may have to build me one later.

I can't believe they are reissuing these now. Oh well. I guess I'll have one with the specs I want though.

Finally got my damn jag trem. I bought it brand new from joshmsr off eBay for $40.00 shipped. Good deal for a 62 reissue trem. But fuck. It took over a month to come. It apparently got "lost in the mail" and then he sent a second one. Maybe ill end up with a free second one yet. Ha...
