I just got an email from their export person - it's packed and ready to go. Tomorrow's a holiday in Germany, so mine will go out on Monday. I'm figuring 2-4 weeks shipping.

An update on mine... it shipped, and it arrived yesterday morning at the Frankfurt Airport.
If I'm lucky, it'll stay in Frankfurt until Saturday, and then it'll fly as cargo on the weekly nonstop flight from Frankfurt to SJU. If I'm not lucky, then it's going to New York or Miami, where it'll spend a week and some change clearing customs.

Mine guitar got "lost in translation". 2 friends on other forums living in the USA already got theirs. one guy lives in my town and he ordered his a week after I ordered mine.
I emailed Thomann and they wrote back:
"According to the DHL website the parcel has been sent via plane to the USA on the 15.10.2013 but apparently USPS didn’t register it yet. Your local post should be able to locate your parcel with the UPU code / matchcode CL7389639xxxx."
I called the post office and they told me this is the current status of my shipment:
"Origin Post in GERMANY is Preparing Shipment October 15, 2013"
So where the fuck is my guitar?

I had the same situation with a parcel from the US. The website of USPS showed me for three weeks that parcel is Origin Post in Chicago is Preparing Shipment... bla-bla-bla... then package all of a sudden appeared in my town.

Weird
I got this email from Thomann today:
"Please note that last scan on the DHL website means that the parcel has been sent on this day to the United States via plane.
All those parcels are in a huge DHL container which arrive first at the airport where all the parcels has to be scanned and registered by USPS.
There is no reason to be worried although, of course I understand that the delay is frustrating.
I am checking now myself on the whereabouts of your parcel with our DHL business contact and get back to you asap.
Apologies for the delay though!"

I wouldn't worry about it. I've had stuff "stuck" in customs for a week, and then show up at my house without any additional scans. It's just the post office being the post office.

What is this "Delxue Series"- business?
On a serious note, those are some cool- looking guitars.

I am loving these. Not for me, but it's great that these things are so good, so cheap and aping what is quite a rare beast. Good stuff.
I've been considering one of their Les Paul copies for a while. On the evidence in this thread it makes it a little more of a possibility.

Ah. I quite want one of these now.
I'm gonna nitpick to attempt to talk myself out of it: the pickguard screws are done badly. There. Still want one, although I bet I'd have to find the correct celluloid for the guards.

Mine cleared Customs in NYC today

With any luck, it'll be shipped to PR tomorrow, and I'll have it in my hands Tuesday or Wednesday

Éven with shipping, it's still cheaper to order the Harley Benton.

Oh, I know, but a DIY from china should be a lot cheaper than that. It is not even on a BIN. I just thought it was weird bumping into it on random.

I'm selling mine if anyone is interested.
I just don't get on with Telecasters, a fleeting love affair and an impulse buy driven by idol obsession I suppose.
