Adjust the pickups' heights?
my sentiments exactly.

I just lost a little bit of faith in humanity.
I hate people like that. There is a special place in hell where guitar flippers end up, where they have to play shitty covers at dive bars with empty crowds for the rest of eternity, and the venue doesn't even give them drink tickets.
I don't like my red one as much as the blue one. I think it's all a matter of setup, and the red one is gorgeous and all, but fret ends are nowhere as near as the one I bought from Sweetwater. Say what you will, but I've always thought that guitars from Sweetwater are perfect out of the box, even Squiers or Epiphones, and you can't really say that about any other dealer, and having two Jaguarillos side by side, one from Sweetwater, and one from Musician's Friend, tells the whole story. Also, it doesn't hurt that the blue Jaguarillo is much lighter than the red one, but once again, I can credit that to Sweetwater since they allowed me to pick out exactly which guitar they'd be shipping out, and they had the weights listed on their site.
Not to get all your hopes up, but if I sell the red one, for what it's worth, you all have my word that I'll offer it at no more than the original price I purchased it for ($300ish), plus actual shipping costs. But I will most likely keep it. It just needs a little softening of the frets and such:

Are the fret ends poorly polished or sticking out slightly? If sticking out, then might just need some humidity so that the wood will swell back out. I bought a used Strat , from a fellow in Vegas, and the ends were sharp/protruding when I received it, but after a few weeks of the balmy south and problem solved. Some have suggested placing the instrument in a steamy bathroom as a fix.

Poorly polished. The ends are sitting flush with the fretboard, but the tops are very rough.

Almost done. I screwed up the wiring somewhere, and the tone knob isn't working. I also wasn't as handy with the dremel as I could have been and cut out too much of the pickguard.

I love it. If only it had a Third Jag pickup in the bridge and the switch plate. Fender Cyclone III but better because it's a Jaguar. Makes me want one now.

I actually thought about that, but I wanted to keep the bucker for variety. It really pairs well with the middle pickup, and when the bridge pickup is split, it quacks like a motherfucker.
I just dropped it off with a local tech to fix the tone knob, and add a strangle switch.

Good luck! I don't regret buying mine at $579 even for a second. I got a really good copy of this guitar, and it's really well set up. I credit that to Sweetwater.
I am getting some video gear this weekend, I hope to get that long overdue demo up in the next week.

Received my Jaguarillo from Sweetwater. The setup and finish is really excellent. Top grades to them.

Is that Sonic Blue? Looks white in that light. I wish they offered it in white. That photo looks awesome.
