Apparently not.

Another 60th anniversary Jazzmaster has also leaked:

FRENCH LANK

They're also listing some MIM 60th anniversary Jazzmasters in vintage blond, daphne blue, black and fiesta red (no pics as yet).

Damn. Fender dropping some heat. Not stoked on the price but I’m not exactly in the market anyway.

Also agree with robroe, gotta tint them necks son.

Oh god, I want that thing.

But I could just like, make one out of parts and it would probably be better, and half the cost (and I would dew without the middle pickup)

So how are these an improvement?

Is Fender ditching the year specific re-issues that are meant to be an approximation of various old Fender models?

Looks like it. These new “Originals have modern radius and medium jumbo frets, so more like the thin skins than the AVRI or AV lines. If you want US made vintage correct then it looks like you’ll need to go custom shop.

How much are vintage Jaguars and Jazzmasters these days second hand? Surely at £1600-£1700 new these are now overlapping with the cost of old original instruments, unless they have also skyrocketed?

My 1965/66 Jaguar in sunburst with a bound and blocked neck (in beat up condition but all original) was £1300 when I bought it.

Have come to the conclusion I'll never own a Jazzmaster as the prices are just stupid.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Minor cost of a bridge upgrade compared to the new crop. Classic Player is still lookin pretty good to this guy. IIRC they are heavy but sound and feel good.
