The Muztek bass board I picked up yesterday came with an amazingly convenient bag/pull cart, with wheels and extendable arm, pedal goodies once again all held on with 3m Double Grip. $150 is a lot o' cash, but it's destined to save my back on this 16kg pedal setup/board mess.

Baram models his skin allergy treatment fur buzz in front of the Pro Jr. A Scratch/Dent special which arrived with neither a scratch or dent(!). Sooooo loud, but "natural" breakup a bit harsh, gonna see what my friends can make of things other than an easy speaker/powertube upgrade...Time for a camera and some demos around this little house.

Nice little amp! Love the styling. I borrowed my boss' pro junior a few weeks ago, and yeah it was pretty harsh - I kept the tone down almost all the way. But I did like it at break-up with my P90 Jag.

What do you reckon of the Micro POG?

This is my 07 Fretless Jazz. Loaded with Nordstrand NJ-4SV's and GHS bright flats.




An old shot with my Squier and Ashdown combo. I no longer have the Digitech blues pedal. Way too much low end loss.

Nice Ashdown amp. I'm a fan.

jazz basses are always cool. i have a friend who put varnish on the fingerboard of his fretless so that he could use roundwounds. it sounds really cool. it's like a happy medium between fretless and fretted.

It's definitely the best sounding/loudest thing in that price range. Doesn't have a cheesy solid state sound at all but rather a great, warmer vintage tone and a fantastic EQ section.

Varnished fretless' are indeed sweet. I've considered it, but the Nordstrands bring out the best of that classic fretless sound, and I'm not going to mess with it for a while.

Probably the best addition to the collection other than the Moollon comp, I'm really liking the simplicity of the effect especially when coupled with others. Half of the fun was just running POG (slight upper octave) > COMP > slow CHORUS while picking with just the bridge pickup on, running a very hot Ashdown ABM 500/4x10 cab. I suddenly felt like Simon Gallup and had to pull off a "Disintegration" IV-V-vi-I progression for a bit.

The tracking is very good, only getting problematic on single and polyphonic lines when an especially resonant open string shows a little more harmonic content than it can handle. Still worlds better than the EBS Octave I had for a week or so, it's a pricey little guy but is right at home among the others.

Sounds great. I've been wanting to try one out but none of the shops round me have got one in.
Will have to go and have a word with Mr Manson and ask him to order one for the shop

5 dirt, 1 delay, 1 tuner is probably a little heavy on the dirt.

This is a little random, but why is it that EHX can't put a damn volume knob on any of thier stompboxes? Does that ever get frustrating to anyone else?

After My Coffin Case pedalboard getting trashed and not being able to afford a pedaltrain or tone trunk, i built my own.

bit of MDF, Black Plasticote, Glitter Spray And Clear Coat and i'm pretty pleased with myself. fits all the pedals i need/use plus the amp controller.

Fucking hell, nice chops mate! So proud to see two of my creations sitting proudly there.

i'm quite pleased with myself, i was never very good with woodwork and the like, but i sat down i thought, bugger it.

the box of rock will stay there until you can make a pedal that can top that and the saltbooster will stay also. oddly enough since getting my amp fixed, the stompy switch thing that was happening on the box of rock has disappeared. strange

Maybe the stomper just needed to be broken in? Weird either way. Like I said - if it EVER gives you trouble I will fit a new switch free of charge.

I'm making another Box Of Rock like yours for Fibus with teh 3 band EQ, I'm definitely going to build one for myself when I have time also - great pedal, even if I do say so myself.
