TapE WerrKSSS!!

Post by robert(original) »

this is to prove that layer of tape will keep the paint from shredding/cracking/whatever it does.
this is an ibanez that i puzz kerry king active electronics in for some kid.,
i had to rout out a spot for the battery so this is what i did.
i maped it out and cut with a razor into the finish where i wanted it.
then laid tape on top to cover the entire area.
as i rubbed the bubles out the original razor outline shows up.
here are the pics and the after product.

Nice job. Too bad it's a weird mod. I would be terrified putting the new hole so close to the old. I just know I would FUX it UPz0rz.

it had a floyed rose, it was already fucked up when i got it.
i actually had to do quit a bit of shaving and carving to get it to size,
i made it so it wiould fit a battery, plus 6 mms for the plug, but then i relized the pug is about 10 and then a few more across on either side.
but thats just to show that tape will work.
only ever use masking tape tho, sometimes if the tape is too potent.
then the tape will actually pull the paint off.
no joke, it happened to tracys squire bass.
