Bronco Project! Now Complete! (with pics o'plenty)

Post by Justin J »

I thought I'd take advantage of this new projects thread and post pictures of my current Bronco project. It's been taking me so long because I've been really lazy. I finally got around to beginning the painting process yesterday. It'll be surf green.

what it used to look like:

Too many shots to the face.

Is Fiesta just passรƒยฉ and gay? I mean, I am going to do it anyhow. It's going to be my only Fiesta.

Bubbles, could you take more pics of this switch when you put the pups on it? I have one of those to hook up and I don't quite get it. I have a Plan B though. I bought a modern switch that looks the same above the guard.

ok... makes sense to not do any more routing then... it just looks like an annoying place to put a switch. I would prefer it more towards the bottom horn cyclone style.

the switch right there would just bug me since I had to adjust my playing style around the mustang switches, so that switch is right in strumming territory for me.

yes, jaguar pickups as well as 1 meg pots. not to mention it'll be surf green, so it'll seem more jaguar-esque.
it'll also have a jazzmaster switch and knobs and a mustang trem arm, but broncuar seemed easier than mustabroncuarmaster.

i'd actually say that given those specs, it's closer to a cyclone. so perhaps you could call it a "cyclo" or better yet "bronclone."

As long as you realise it's pretty much still a bronco.

You strum up by the neck?

Weird.

I strum normally and have still managed to knock the killswitch on my Jazzy a few times.

I guess it depends on the angle of yuor guitar. if you have it quite low then you're going to angle the upper bout more towards strumming territory. I don't wear my geet that low.

I didn't used to strum like that, but then I kinda had to adjust to my mustang since the switches are right in the middle, playing closer to the neck makes the most sense on that guitar.

I play with my guitar around my waist too, because I've got long arms and it's uncomfortable for me to play it any higher than that.
