The only hardware modeller I own is an XT Live - hopefully they'll play nice together! ... I'm
most eager to hear it in front of my little one channel tube amps...
My
Twin Tube pedal arrived yesterday - it sounds great, and does play pretty well with the XT Live. My live set up w/ the XT is XT->Tech 21 Power Engine, which is just a powered cab. Since the twin tube isn't line level out, it needs to come before the XT, but it works fine - I just set it conservatively on the rhythm channel, and it warms and fattens up all my XT sounds. Problem solved!
Also, sounds AMAZING straight into my traditional amps. Anyone looking for natural tube tones in a stomp box should definitely check it out. They retail for US $220, but I got this one new on Ebay for $150, which seems to be the going rate...

Hazard a guess?
Ok here when we buy new things we like to make demos or samples of said new things.
You have a studio so you have no excuse
And the sonds bit is from back in the day when we had a young guy say sonds kool instead of sounds cool, And the mocking ensued.
Easy stuff.

LOL. Understood. Well, perhaps I may do just that - it will have to wait though, until the influenza, which is presently kicking my ass, has subsided.
In the meantime,
THIS FELLA has done a splendid job. Sold
my ass on it. I tried to audition it at the local GC, but the genius sales people couldn't find a power supply for the demo, and refused to open a new one. My heart goes out to anyone that walks into GC without (or even with) a clue, expecting help. But that's a whole other topic...

OK - excuse the uninspired playing, as I said, I'm fighting the flu. Plus the dog ate my homework... The first sample is my Pod Xt going direct into an RME Fireface Sound Card, using a patch I made that I use 95% of the time for live gigs. I play for a few seconds with the single coil neck pickup, then swith to the humbucker in the bridge, then kick in an emulated Ibanez tube screamer effect. The second sample is the same thing, but with the Duncan Twin Tube in front of the POD.

Thanks - I've been able to get pretty good results with the Pod. The problem is that it sounds OK, but it doesn't
feel OK. Having that tube stage there makes it feel more responsive. For a general demo of the (Duncan) pedal, if anybody's interested, check that youtube video, he covers it pretty well!
