somebody help me

im a total nub at this stuff.

i got my floyd.
i got the stock holes.
BUT
the stock holes and the floyd dont match by like 1/16 of a mofo inch!!!! i thought that i could dowel the holes and redrill or widen the holes somehow. WHAT SHOULD I DOO?!?!?!?!1111one

also, im gonna replace the pots with dual concentric pots for individual volume and tone. anybody know if i could use a les paul schematic? that'd help a shitload.

easy fix. do you have a round file? If so, file each side of the trem plate to match the pivot screws. done.

1/16, huh? Have you tried loosening it and moving it around? It sounds like sloppy precision at the factory. Or it's like a reissue situation where they just made it differently for different models. If you are certain it doesn't fit and you can't exchange it, then the easiest thing would be to dowel and drill. It's big enough to hide the mods, and black enough that who cares, right? That's my two cents. But wait and see if you get a consensus. Hopefully someone will chime in at least to tear apart my analysis. :)

Asuming you want it exactly the same wiring as a Les Paul, then yes, you most certainly can.

just file the tremplate, mo. You certainly don't want to do anything to that guitar body...and should you decide, later, to go with the original trem plate, you'll be able to.

well, thats the thing. the old trem completely died. thats why i got a new one. the block crumbled to about 50 tiny pieces. i cant go back. still file it?

1 minute's worth of work on one hand/many, many hours on the other....

gee...that's a hard decision...
