lololol, you're right though. I find it impossible to get even remotely excited about compressors.

I guess it's something for funk and country players to wet their panties about really.

I find it a little hard to get excited about EH pedals. Heard way too many stories about crap build quality and short lives. I've always been wary.

Although the Nanomuff is kind of priced well enough that I've considered it.

I've got a compressor on the other half of the Visual Sound Route 66. Half the time I'm not even sure it does much of anything when I stomp on it...

I love the DMM sooo much, best delay pedal I've ever owned. (that's right peopel I may sell the MDX).

plus one, i less than three my dmm. it can do so much, even though it has a pretty short amount of delay time(when compaired to digital counterparts).

All well and good, but I already got the Guyatone Tube Echo which does nothing more or less than I need or want and sounds good doing it. That's just perfect for me. Sometime I'll have to see about getting some sound samples...

All well and good, but I already got the Guyatone Tube Echo which does nothing more or less than I need or want and sounds good doing it. That's just perfect for me. Sometime I'll have to see about getting some sound samples...

I really like the sound of it. It's got the bog standard high end roll off and the "analog" which gives you more or less through the tube. Turn that knob up and you can get the echoes to overdrive which is kind of neat.
As far as I could find it was the best sort of compromise for me between my persnickety Echoplex and a digital delay. I find it always warm sounding and it does self oscillate.

Not a lot of features, but it does have that super long delay if you want it. And really I seldom use anything out of the medium delay setting as it is. I can get my slapback and midlength echos all in that setting by just doing some knob twisting and that's all I ask of it.

(Plus, and I know I'm opening a can of worms here, it wasn't Boss. I know they're sturdy decent pedals and can do everything and more and live forever and everybody in the world uses them, but I just would rather have something different than everybody else in the world. It's a me thing. )

The guts of it (except for the tube part) are the same as those Guyatone MD-3 digital delay if I remember my reading right. Those are quite nice little delays and not too expensive. And they take up hardly any pedal board real estate. That might not be a bad investment to augment your other one if you need the long ass delay for something. I was actually going to get one of those when I found they made the Flip Echo and decided that I wanted a tube too. (and found a used one at a good price.)

i heard those guyatones are built like tanks, anyway that pedal sounds pretty aweosme.

I've had it for a few months. Not sure if I'd declare it a tank yet. But it's holding up Ok for now...

Actually, they do - the 16 second delay is digital.

haha,i thought of that, but who would buy that piece of equipment just for delay

EDIT:and btw,i dunno if you had checked that video from namm when the reissue of the 16sec was introduced, but there was a setting that it was very reminiscent of the DMM, which means that they can make nice modulated delays out of digital circuitry, that would be interesting.
