EL84/6BQ5 output tube and one 12AX7/ECCC83 preamp tube
5 watts into 8 ohms
Gain and master volume
Tone control
8 inch speaker
High and low gain inputs
headphone out

what do people reckon? Good deal for £100? All tube, could be sweet!

clean sample

dirty sample

i'm particularly impressed with the crunch - this thing can ROCK! not so impressed with the lack of speaker output. but yeh, for the same price as an Epi Valve Jr, it's tempting.

I'm not sure why it's necessary for so much Peavey gear to be so ugly. It does certainly seem that way though.

it seems nice. i just hate the peavey logo. their stuff is usually pretty solid, though.

Doesn't actually sound super great to me - no speaker out for recording using a 12" or playing out is pretty dumb - 8" speakers are pretty tinny.

to me the samples sound ALOT better than the Epi Valve Jr. But maybe that's my personal preference.

Also check out the demo video on the Peavey site linked above. This thing is tiny - we'r talking shoe-box sized.

Few positive reviews on HC:

But yeh, no cab output = crazy. Only thing stopping me getting one.

I'd just convert it to run as a head or combo.. a drill, 20 minutes, soldering iron and a switching 1/4" jack..

And a voided warranty on a brand new product with no proof of quality and/or reliability.

Peavey shit may not look awesome, it may not sound "the best", but that shit just won't die. the only peavey stuff i've killed were some really small monitors that clipped together with each other and were made of plastic.

they're not that small, about the size of a peavey rage 158.

yeh actually it's not that small - just looks that way in comparison to the other huge peavey amps in the vid.

also it's 9kg in weight!! thats really freaking heavy for such a small amp! must have a powerful speaker for it's size.
