Just got one today. It's stupid and retarded. Totally unusable sounds with crap bypass and a gay input level knob.
AND ITS ACE!
I think it's dope as fizzle but most people will hate it.

Not at all. It was 139.00 English pounds... Bob said its a bit much for a pedal. but ive paid well over 100 quid for pedals. If i have the money and i want the Thing then why not?
They dont make them any more so they tend to sell for silly prices, ive seen em go for closer to 200 before.
I like my pedals init!

i have the red one, the XP100 Whammy/Wah.
i don't like the input level knob but the bypass is alright for me. it's not the best but does the trick without any audible effect coming through. the whole thing's been dismantled and put back together and lent out i don't know how many times. right now i have the plug stripped off the AC adapter and the wires soldered directly to the terminals inside. i'm thinking of just putting a better strain relief (i.e. not a knot in the cable) on and leaving it that way, maybe fixing it to my pedalboard that way, the socket looks like it'd be hard to fix/replace.
i think it's the best whammy pedal ever, it has everything the classic red one has, with a layout/footswitching system similar to the little black Whammy II (change settings without having to reach down and twist a knob), and more effects than either of those pedals.

Aye last year i had to sell loads of gear when i was broke..i'm by no means flush now but pedals are part of my hobby and i plan on trying as many as i can afford before i'am poor again.

Yeah they seem very sturdy pedals..they came out in 97 right? so there still kickin after 10 years. pretty kool.
The bypass isn't horrible in fact i cant hear noticeable toney suckage.
But because of the input level some effects need it turned right up, and when bypassed it still adds volume to the signal. so its in the loop.

These things rule, some guy does mods for them (all the XP series) so that they all have every feature offered by each other, it's called the XP1000. I've been thinking of picking up a Whammy Wah for this purpose.
