thinking of building a jaguar.
Ive got a seller on ebay willing to sell me unfin jag bodies for $190
Hes asking for specs to the body and im not sure about these, since im not too technical with my guitars.
im thinking of just building it to alder body av mia specs.
would most fender parts fit on it?
hes charging $350 for a block innlayed jag neck but untill this time im thinking of just having the jagmaster neck on.
could i change from the jagmaster neck to the new jag neck without having to re rout?

I have the same neck...it's completely useless on any other guitar because, despite the scale, it's a good 1"+ shorter. You'll need another neck, me thinks.Mark wrote:Ive got the CIC jagmaster but according to squier its 24" scale.Mike wrote:Depends on the heel (this is assuming that the JagMaster neck you have is 24", i.e. a vista). If not you'll have to move the bridge towards the back of the guitar intonate the guitar properly.
i just wanted to use it as a temporary neck untill i save up enough for the block inlayed one. I dont really care about the scale on the temp guitar. As long as the new neck has the right scale im happy.Aug wrote:I have the same neck...it's completely useless on any other guitar because, despite the scale, it's a good 1"+ shorter. Imma doin block inlays on the strat neck I bought for the Shadowmaster 2.0, Shadows jagmaster body was turned into a jazzmaster via aug. My bound neck (25.5 scale) cost $150 shipped, $27 for MOP inlays, so I have a block inlay neck for about $180, My paint costs were $0, because I was using left over clear. Robert (original) is sending me a couple of fretboards and stuff for me to practice on, but I'm already done with my first ever attempt and didn't fuck it up.

It won't intonate with the Jagmaster neck. They are way shorter, even though they have the same scale.Mark wrote:i just wanted to use it as a temporary neck untill i save up enough for the block inlayed one. If you want, we could build you a body for much cheeper then 190 that would fit that neck.

Ash gave the telecaster most tradictional tone , very Bright tone Clean and strong sustain
Alder Gave the Stratocaster , the strato tradictional Tone also poplar have very behind alder tone
Eddie van hallen did an Strato Body of Ash , mapple neck and did an P.a.f at bridge and no tone controls , its maded an Very clean sound over weight of an P.a.f , can be listen that tone on first cd of van hallen
Warm wood + humbuckers = Killer tone
Open Tone Wood + Singles = Killer tone
I Say Stick the Original Jazzmaster , jaguar Wood
original Jaguar an jazzmaster wood is Alder
neck do Curly mapple , Quart-saw mapple
Rosewood for Scale can be Indian , get very dark one its show its more old Rosewood became blackie when is stocked whit time
