It's additive in series or parallel so you'd still be safe to run your amp - 60 + 30 = 90W so just don't dime the amp (i'm sure you can't physically anyway and you'll be ok)
I'm entertaining getting a couple to put in my 2x12", if I love them then awesome, but I could also put them in X pattern in my 4x12". Even though putting both into my 2x12" would mean it can only handle 60W it's not like I'm ever putting that out on my amp anyway, I'd be deaf. 60W is only a couple of dB lower than 100W.
I really want G12-65's which are higher power greenbacks suitable for 2x12"s but they're so goddamn expensive.

it's 3dB.
I just had a look on ebay and there's a few shops on there selling G12H-30s for £31 plus £9 shipping or £12 for two or more speakers.
Watford Valves sale is £28 per speaker plus "At least £5 +VAT shipping". I can't find out how much it would cost to get the speakers through them without actually buying them which is lame. Anyway the ebay new price isn't that different - I think I'll wait for my MDX to sell first.

Yeah I saw that - pain that you can't see how much it will actually cost. Those eBay prices look pretty good anyway.Mike wrote:it's 3dB.

ie prices are without VAT and I don't even know the postage. I'm pretty sure shit like this is illegal. They could charge me whatever they want for postage now. They provide a unique service with the Cryo valves, it'll be interesting to see if it is worth it.Purchases
ECC83/7025 HARMA DR250 (Harma) GBP 12.00 x 1 = GBP 12.00
ECC83/7025 HARMA DR250-CRYO (HARMA Cryo valves) GBP 15.31 x 1 = GBP 15.31
Net Goods Total = GBP 27.31
Total Items = 2
Postage and Packaging, plus VAT will be added as appropriate
Thank you for your order.
Please allow 4 working days for your order to be dispatched.
Please note we have a minimum order value on parts of £10.
If you have any problems with your order please, contact Watford Valves via sales@watfordvalves.com. Please note there is a minimum postage of £5.00 also prices in the EU are subject to VAT currently @ 17.5%.

They still don't tell you P&P when your order has been confirmed? That is so fucking lame - you should have to declare the total billed amount before the card holder confirms the transaction - shady fuckers.
That said nice one and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts - is it possible you could make a sample of the too different valves with the same settings, pickups etc.?

Already in the works.
1) Standard TT valves
2) JJ in V1, Standard V2
3) DR250 in V1, JJ in V2
4) DR250 Cryo in V1, JJ V2
5) DR250 Cryo in V1 DR250 in V2
Get all this shit done before I do a huge clear out of gear at the end of the month. Pity I won't get it before Monday, cos I've got the day off.
It'll be interesting to know when I get to know postage. Haven't even had a confirmation email. If these guys weren't an established company it would feel well shady.
