Shadowmaster 2.0 Pickup Wiring Opinions

Post by More Cowbell »

I'm gonna be putting CURTIS Novak p-90 in the bridge and SD vintage in the neck on the shadowmaster and need some wiring diagrams and ideas, and which size pot to use.

Shall it be 1meg's or 500k's?

I was thinking of using a 1meg push/pull tone pot, but will that be compatible with a 500k volume pot? Or should I just go 1meg all the way or what? I need youse helps.

Any cool wiring schems would be appreciated. I'm also thinking of routing it for the upper switch/roller section like a real jazzy has, so keep that in mind to as it doesn't have those now.

Thanks for any help.

1M push/pull pot with a 1M resistor wired in parallel to get both option :D

I have no genuine contribution.

It's completelly possible to use a 1 meg tone and 500k volume as they are totally independant of one another. Bigger tone pot will mean there is more resistance pushing the cap out of the circuit, meaning potentially less highs will be lost when you have the tone controll not rolled off at all/in the most trebbly position.

nay, the vintage is the neck replacement made by SD.

The p90 is made by CURTIS NOvack and fits into a jazzmaster.
