I really like robroes strat, I do like the tort too, but I'd go with the change and do the white pickguard thing.

They were stock on this weird little amp/"stack" I've had for ages that I'm sure I've posted pix of many times in the past. Built in trem, 'verb and sounds kinda cool.
Not mine, but the same as this, only bout 2 foot tall. Cab is totalled and long gone.

Just fired it up now through the Marshall 2x12- it's clear the oldskool preamp is not made for anything other than cheap 60s guitars. Weird thing is, it actually sounds pretty damn warm and tubey with the guitar volume all the way up, very nice. Back it off a bit, and cleans up normally.

I know, but with the classy knobs it can look a bit more Tele Deluxy. I think it needs maple to escape its dark roots.

B&W movie star, but you should do one like the b&w, but change the white pg to tort and see how that looks.
I like white pearloid pg's better than just squier plain white.

Although I despise black strat with white PG I despise black and tort strat even more.
