I've got a Squier humbucker, two conductor. It's got three wires: red, white and the bare ground wire. Which is which? I don't wanna wire this shit out of phase. Help!

I'm thinking white goes to ground.

On the humbuckers I just took out of the Jagmaster white was the one that went to the switch.
You've got a 50/50 chance.
at worst you'll end up redoing a few solder points.

I vote what Lanark said. White to switch, cut the red
Not squier, but I've had buckers do that before.

I came to the conclusion that white does indeed go to switch, and red is the ground. That seems to follow the principle that Fender Four Conductor wires have White as the north and Red as the south (with green and black in between). I guess I just don't have the green and black!
I've wired it up and if it sounds out of phase, obviously I know what to do. Thanks for the help guys!

Pro. That means when it arrives I have to take this fucking guitar apart again to wire that shit up. Thanks.
My series/parallel push/pull looks awful lonely right now. I've wired up the "bridge always on" push/pull which is awesome, because when activated it means the bridge humbucker is on regardless of where the 5-way is, which means I can have all three pickups on if I want. Awesome. I'll post pics and sondz when I've done.
This is for my RamoneCaster by the way.
