Opinions on new Vox AC15s?

I'm looking to get a new low-powered tube amp since my 100 watt bassman is a little biblical for my house. I really like the AC15's sound, plus it's in my sub-$1000 price range. I tried one out and it certainly seemed to have that nice balance between quiet enough for practice and loud enough for playing out (shouldn't be much quieter then a '65 Deluxe, right?).
So, questions:
Opinions on the new Ac15's? Any Vox issues I should keep in mind? Should I pay the extra $200 for the fancy speaker upgrade?
An alternative I was considering is a Vox Valvtronix modeling, since it at least captures the Vox sound well and I could get a 1x12 combo for about $150 less.

I just got the 30watt Valvetronix thing. I wasn't amped (c wut I did thar?) on it at first, but once I figured it out a bit, I became quite endeared of it.

The valvetronix is an attractive option - I'd probably go for the 50 watt so I could get the 12". Now that I see it has an output power knob on the back, I like it a lot more.
I guess it's between the 2 - IDK, the AC15 is classier and would have more resale, but the valvetronix is cheaper to start. I'll do a cost analysis when I find my good calculator.

I have the AC15 CC1. I bought it with the stock Wharfedale, and replaced it myself - it's cheaper to replace the speaker yourself, with a celestion or otherwise - I replaced mine with a Weber alnico Blue Dog. It is way creamier w/ the new speaker in. I like the amp alot. It's a LOUD 15 watt amp, and heavy as hell. If you like the classic Vox sound, you'll like this amp. My main complaint is the reverb - sounds like trash to my ears... hope this helps.

Cost analysis didn't make the choice easier - they both depreciate pretty much equally. The AC15 will probably never be obsolete, but the extra initial cost equals things out. I'm still on the fence.
I'll probably also try out an the Epiphone 15-watt 1x12 since it seems pretty comperable.
