Tiny silly micro amp love

In a concerted attempt to play my new guitar (oh, have I mentioned my new guitar?) more, and because I have two young kids and a loud amp with no headphone socket, I bought myself a diddy little amp, mainly for the headphone socket. I was going for a Dano Honeytone after it was recommended by Inscho (also of this parish), but ended up getting an Orange Micro Crush.

And do you know, I love it to bits! I now play ten times more than I ever did, I can make a shitty little stereo setup, and when I can be arsed, I can plug it into my separates too (thus creating a trereo setup...). It's even got a tuner built in. Anyone else rock a diddy amp?

I've got a Dano Honeytone, that rarely gets an airing, but when I do I have so much fun! Clip it to my strap and rock out!

i've a danelectro honeytone (surf green) .. it's alright for the money, handy..i guess, sometimes i record with it
i do it with my marshall mg-something too because it has headphones out, that one's louder though, crank a big muff and blue box and put on the headphones, interesting experience.

<3 the Messa Bewgie and Marshall modes, plus you can bypass all the stuff and use it as a simple, clean solidstate amp when pedalboard is the order of the day. I keep the big Marshall for gigs to save on tube life and to keep the "WOW!" factor there everytime I get to use it.

i'm still looking for my little micro amp, something to just bang away on, instead of just tickling the tubes of my blues deluxe.

Why don't you rehearse with the Marshall?

Too much stuff to carry in the dark down a muddy path to the space, plus the Laney head lives there anyways.

Fair play, didn't realise it was an annoying entrance. Still it must be cool to have most of your shit set up so you can just rock out for the maximum time. I don't mind setup and breakdown, it's fucking simple these days but it used to be a pain. I feel for John with his drumkit though, so I always stick around after I'm packed up to help him load his car - it's a lot of shit.
