i had a very old maestro echoplex, i nicked it from the electronics teacher at school. he had it in his store room for years, still worked too. i dont have it anymore, it got mangled when some twat knocked it of my amp when they were getting their gear on stage, found it behind my amp in a nice spaghetti mess. i've i ever saw that guy again, i'd insert my leslie cabinet inside him and churning his guts up.

Murder should be legal with a case like that!

a) I think you mean "fair game"
b) It is not fair game when your stolen items get broken by accident.

yeah i meant fair game aen, me blonde lol
the band that trashed my echoplex are know on the circuit for having no respect for other peoples equipment, a fellow friend had his bass drum skin put through after their drummer had play and got annoyed so kicked it through.

WEM Copicat - don't have a picture of my own here but it's like this one at

Not in use at the moment as it seems to be running a bit hot and other things are higher on my to-fix list, such as my Electric Mistress clone.
Weirdest "tape" echo I've had to repair was the Arbiter Soundimension echo which had a thick rotating alumin(i)um disc with the edge coated in magnetic material - technically a magnetic drum unit.

hiwatt released a new tape echo unit and fulltone released that very expensive unit.
i'll try and find the link, but theres a uk company that deals in hi-fi that has two copicats for around 150 in working condition.

Someone elsewhere describes a mod to the Copicat, adding a head plugged into the second input.
Also HH did at least one solid-state tape loop echo
