this is my favorite gibson guitar EVER!
this thing plays like a dream, sounds great, and looks awsome.
its kinda rare looking, mid 70's serial number, and a plate on the headstock that says "custom made for fred purdue"
i just made a pickup cover for the neck pickup(which is actually a tele bridge pickup)
gave it a setup, cleaned it up, and put a jack in it.
im also sorry to say that i sold my 83 tele today
but on the plus side i have 140 bucks in my pocket to get a new sander!

i know my pics are crap.

before you start flaming on the guy that owns this he bought it for 150 bucks at a pawn shop in ill in the early 90's(90 or 91 he says)
and it was this way when he bought it.

Tele bridge pup in a humbucker spot!! That's how my Hi Flier was set up for a while. Sounded ace, but I just got bored with it eventually.

the last couple pics are of it when he went to the bathroom after i made the pickup ring for it.
i couldn't take pics in front of him cuz he got all flustered about it saying " why do you have to take pictures of it man?"
he's a weird old hippy.
i would love to spend a week on it, fixing it up and setting it up, but he likes it the way it is, just wanted me to tweak a few things.

Lol, did you say you found it in a builders skip?
Only joking. Cool, be good to see it when you've restored it.

i doubt i will see it again for another 6 months, and by then it will be jut as dusty, with a few new digs and in need of another setup, the frets are almost COMPLETELY flat.
kinda skery, i told him i would re-fret it for like 50 bucks whenever he had the cash. it needs a re-fret pretty damn bad.
