Here's my latest. All the parts on this tele were bought from folks here on this boards. If you see a part that was once yours, let me know. I can't remember who all I got the parts from. The pickups are from Shad. The rest.......

The body is a one piece poplar body that was actuall a scrap piece that I was able to salvage.
The neck is a Squier 51 neck that we refinished with a vintage tint and nitro.
The pups are american standard from shad.
All the parts are gold. I typically hate gold, but I think they look good on this one.
The pickgaurd is leather with embossed roses. You can't actually tell how much the rose stand out, but they look pretty good. I'm not quite done with it. I have to edge it a bit and apply Laquer.

The entire project cost me under 150 bucks!!!!!!!!

not really a fan, but i applaud the effort. i'm always impressed by your leather tooling skills. even if i had the ability, i would never have the patience to do what you do.

Well thanks. I totally understand that my tastes it a bit more country bumkin then most. I like my stuff though and I don't really care about others opinions.

The edges look retarded, a cheesy red rose pattern with gold hardware, it looks like christmas tree and you post it and you expect people to lie to you and say its awesome.

It's not awesome, it sucks. It's actually one of the ugliest pickguards I've ever seen, or basically since one of the last PG you did.

I've held this guitar and pickguard in my hands, and it's absolutely amazing. I don't think one can truly appreciate the craftsmanship until you hold it in your hands and feel the 3D quality of the roses, it's beautiful.

I dig it. If you did one with skulls and demons then it'd be pure metal. But alas, I can only dream.

It's ugly as all shit. It's really pathetic that time was spent making that guitar look so shit.

I don't like teles and I don't like leather. It looks like beef jerky and I don't like that either :S


I do like that color with maple though.
