Definately worth the drive, some stunning guitars beautifully and intelligently presented with German and English captions. In a renovated villa on the outskirts of Markneukirchen, a small town which has seen better days (most instrument manufacture around here has gone) but nonetheless has a certain charm. The top floor features a small performance area where you're invited to try out some of the new Framus guitars. I'm fairly certain we were the only visitors that day.

I have to say that black offset semi has become my most wanted european guitar over a Hopf Saturn or any Musima now.

I really like the look of those offset semi-hollows.

My brother has an early 80's Framus LP copy.It sounds great considering one of the pups is dead.Sure hard to find a pup for that thing,I been looking for 6 months now.It's got those odd size Bill Lawrence pickups in it.

Me too..but it's his guitar and I can't be arsed with the rewind.Someday one will pop up on the baze.

New Framus' = fuck expensive but extremely well-made. Uninspiring designs unfortunately.

Yes, and they have a peculiar line in pointy 80s metal guitars that the museum does its best to play down. The brand was bought by Warwick and resurected in the late 90s.

Whatever works for you, but I don't like the way Mesa Rectifier series amplifiers overdrive, way too saturated and lacking in upper-mids.

Everyone is different. Just because I hate your amp doesn't mean it sucks, it just means I hate it.

ah, its no skin off my nose, its just the amp i play in the band i'm currently in, i also play an sg in the band, neither of which i really adore, but it works for the music.
