hey does anyone have any experience with these?
http://store.guitarfetish.com/vispgohuclfe.html
"melx" over at HCFX recommended them for my Sheraton. iv'e noticed my Sheraton sounds lackluster in comparison to my tele through the ac30.
now, i know some of you are going to say "well duh, humbuckers suck, teles rule, sell it and buy another tele", but i know SLOAN is with me on this one when i say I GOTTA ROCK THE SEMIHOLLOW FEEDBACK.
apparently these pickups are nice and bright but smooth. just wondering of anyone has tried em! thanks.

i slapped one on my 51. LOUD AS HELL. Mickie has a different experience, but there's globs of gain on my bridge version. It's smooth but it may be a bit less bright than you're looking for, but who knows? You might like em.

Are they the same size as Fenders? They look in the pic to be the same size as a normal humbucker.

I put 2 in my jagmaster and it seemed a little bit muddy. But then I switched out the stock squire pots for some higher qaulity 500 meg ones and replaced the caps with orange drop caps. It sounded much better. The lead player in my band is now rocking the jagmaster.
I am not near as familiar with humbuckers and the last 2 sets I have had have been the ones in the tele (GFS overwound Nashville retrotrons) and the ones in the PRS I has last summer. Neither case would be a fair comparison to the split coils as the gretsch style ones sound nothing like "rock" style humbuckers and the PRS ones cost 3-4x as much as the GFS ones do. GO for it.
I would totally recommend the retrotrons or the spilt coils for the price.

I'm still trying to figure out what pickups I should put in my ARTCORE.
The ones that are in it right now don't let my RIFFZ blast through like a chainsawdrillhammersword. They're just too dull and muddy.

i was playing my sheraton today and it doesnt sound as bad as i thought it did. ive been sitting in my room most of the day tweaking my amp and playing with different settings. the ac30CC2 is just amazing.
anyway, i love the neck pickup so i might just swap the bridge out for an open coil zebra humbucker. something with bite but warm and with nice harmonics.
but i love the idea of the split humbuckers. they would look so great. in that case, i would swap out both the pickups for balance and looks. ugh, choices...
sloan, put a GFS retrotron hot liverpool in there. jangly and chimey like a rickenbacker but HOT and rock tones. do it.
