Strat project

Post by inscho »

i've been getting the itch to start putting a new guitar together. i've already made 2 teles, so i decided on a strat.

i picked up the body for $65:

it's a MIM body, poly finish....i've wanted to relic a guitar for a long time, and now seems like a good time to try.

so a package of sandpaper, a screwdriver, and a couple hours of hurling it across the park next my apartment on a rainy day resulted in this:

now i gotta buy everything else. :x

that would be pretty cool to stick some switches in there actually.....
i liked it when it looked new, and i liked the relic look, i still say you should have assembled it all, and then beat the hell out of it.

Not sure if I'll refin or just throw it together like this.
Yours should look cool, but personally I would have left the body the way it was.
