Orange 2x12 clone build with TT enclosure

Post by dawnofzion »

Ok I have gotten some work done on my Orange 2x12 clone. The Orange Tolex is in the mail. I have the handles and corners already. The cab is pretty much an exact clone of the orange 2x12 cab with 2- v30's. I also built an enclosure for my TT. I will put a vent for the top to let heat out and there is 3/4" open space completely around the TT inside the enclosure to help prevent heat build up. I hope to have it all finished up within a week.

I reserve judgement on the TT head(I'm a bit of a tt purist!) but the cab is looking great!

The head looks a lot nicer. Good job. Can't wait to see it finished.

Well I finished up the cabinets this weekend. I still need to make the logo for the cabinet but other than that it is done.

I seriously love the bigass bevel shit on the Orange cabs. I don't understand why anyone would make a cab WITHOUT it now. It just looks so sexy and uuuuugh.

both cabs are made of 3/4 birch ply and the baffle is made of 1/2 birch ply. I will take pics of the backs tonight. There is room for airflow around the TT so it never gets hot. I played on it cranked the other day for 3.5 hours and it was fine. I also used the sleds on the bottom like orange does versus feet.

How could you have ever doubted him? He's clearly one of the most talented people on the board. He made that Supersonic from scratch also.

It's the best TT housing I've seen. A lot of people have tried it and got it too chunky. Dawn's looks perfect to me.
