Make your own multi guitar rack

Post by roachello »

Do you guys think it's possible to make your own guitar rack using plumbing pipes/connectors and foam? The bulk of stands at guitar center are pretty low quality and it doesn't always do a great job of holding guitars, except for the Hercules brand which cost me about $40 (single)

I just think it should be noted how ugly their design is. Google Videos is a pile of shit.

Not the best pic,but you get the idea

The guitars actually sit in it sideways. The guitars in pic were turned just for the pic.And you can really squeeze 12 electrics or 8 electrics and 2 acoustics into it.Cheeps to build.

Do it eat nitro or no? Foam is kryptonite.

I haven't had a problem yet..I keep most of the nitro'd in cases and gigbags. They don't sit in the stand very long.I'm sure there are options to using the foam.Even covering it with cloth.
