I'd like to get a new tuner.
surely most have favorites and or dislikes
I've had a cheap korg for years and I just don't think it is that accurate
also I'd like something I can see from a little distance
any thoughts?
thanks

you're looking for a little portable tuner thing or a pedal tuner?
if it's the portable type you're after I like the seiko SAT-500. Chromatic, Input/Output, works kinda like the Korg CA30 but also has a numerical display telling you how close you are to the note (+ or -, closer to 0 the better).
They go for around $25 in shops.
I h8 non-chromatic tuners.

I've got one of these and I LOVE IT.
Just carry it around and you can tune anything up.

I got this one free with a pack of strings a few years ago. Good tuner with mic, 1/4 input, and you can hook it on an acoustic guitar too!

If your looking for a pedal tuner, check out the Fender one, I've had one for a few years and it's pretty sweet. Tough metal and seems accurate enough.

This is my recommendation:
Korg DT-10. Accurate, fast, built to last and used by me and Doog.

They're for clipping onto a music stand. I actually have the older version (ST-1100). Works alright, but is probably for sale.
If you're looking for a pedal tuner, the planet waves Chromatic Pedal Tuner is good, and the new Korg Pitchblack is also one of my favorites if you can get past the plastic box.

used to have a korg gt3 - fairly pants. swapped to a boss tu-15 which was much better. no problems at all and the needle is great for a workbench style tuner when you need to check the intonation..

tu 100's (edit: yeah tu 2 eek) are all over the 2ndhand market, they do the job and are built like tanks, they can power other pedals, only downside is they've the in-and outputs on the side, i like the top ins and outs of the korg dt better

The Boss TU2 is pretty good, you can run other pedals off it. The behringer version is supposed to be ok, chip as chips.

x50000.
And I also use a Boss TU-12h for my acoustic which works really, really well.
