He probably runs his multi fx through the effects loop instead of straight through the input.

Honestly I would not pay (or take for free for that matter) any advice given by someone who uses a GT6

You put the GT6 in the bin. No soldering or modifications required.

This guy claims you don't need any more leeds and you don't need to do the "4 cable method". Then he goes on to say
NOTE: This method can only work if your amplifier has an effects loop. If you're not sure what this is, take a look at your amp, there will be a "send" and "return" jack socket on the front or back. They might be called something else, like "effects out" and "effects in". If you're still not sure, EMAIL ME and I'll see if I can help you. Tell me the make & model of your amp.
So what is it then? a 3 cable method? Putting the whole multi-fx through the effects loop, running its preamp and distortion section AFTER your amp's preamp? It might help you cut through the mix, but it'll be noisy as hell with distortion.

This guy sounds like a total noob. I'm sorry, but if you want pro level tone, look at what the pros are using and how they hook it up.

That's it. Inject GT6 output into FX Return. That's all he's selling, that and advice to turn off speaker and amp sims when you're using a real amp (DUH)

There's a bunch of idiots who flood ebay with louded keyword auctions "selling" this secret.

Byooty.

I'm actually tempted to spend the 3-4 quid then laugh in the guys face if it's something as simple as using the FX loop. Or maybe he's actually just telling you to remove that blanket you hang over your cab??>

This is by no means a secret - when I used to use my PV Bandit all the time people would ask if I bypassed the preamp and just used a modeler. I never had a modeling pedal, so I never tried.

Nah, better yet, send him an email telling him what you think his secret is, and offering to buy it if you're wrong.

I just emailed him. Doubt I'll get a response.
