Anyone ever thought of doign this?

So, has anyone done, or thought of doing this???

Taking a Squire Jagmaster

Getting a Jaguar pg

some duncans

and routing the shit out of it

and making a jaguar [OR JAZZMASTER!] copy out of the fuck?

would be a pretty sweet idea and was just wondering if anyone has done this yet or thought about doing it.

This was already done by a member of these boards.

Isn't it for sale now though?

Sounds like a fun project, if you have the tools.

I've thought of converting one of those black Jag HH Specials into a regular jag. I'd have to use a bigsby for the trem, since I don't have a router. I just love the thought of an all black jag with a matching headstock.

Who owns the Shadmaster now?

He sold after the falling out with Aug, I seem to remember that.

I think it'd be cool to get a custom pickguard for jaguar or jazzmaster pickups. anything beyond that though.... just get a jag if you want a jag.

I've been thinking of doing this for my jagmaster, since I would prefer having single coils over humbuckers. Does anyone here have any jagmaster guards that fit jaguar pups or be willing to make me one? (I have zero tools for the job)

When one thinks about this, it'd be easier to convert something that didn't have a gaping, ugly strat trem route.

And cheap things that don't have those are typically teles. (as I'm doing)

A Squier Deluxe copy thingie might be the best bet? You'd have a huge guard, a minimum of filling... But you'd be stuck with 25.5" scale, unless you could place the bridge without interfering with the pickup routes (is that possible?). And you'd not have the look...

...ok actually, Just a normal tele would be better, with a Deluxe guard. But routing would be involved... A cheap Standard tele copy is always a cheap proposition, and you could place the bridge wherever you wanted regardless of pickup routing...
