BTW, the Bigsby 60's Teles are "Crafted in Japan."
What's a "sham" about the Bigsby? It's a Fender branded, licensed Bigsby unit. What's sham about that?

I've got a Japanese 62 bigsby'd tele and an AVRI Jazzmaster. They're both great, but I'd say go for the Jazzer! More versatile, more comfortable to play, and great looks.

How do you know that you're getting a $1500 guitar if you don't know which guitar you're going to get

but if he goes for a $1200 guitar, then that's not a $1500 guitar is it? 'I have a budget of $1500, which guitar should I get?' would have explained it better.

I hate the way that everyone presumes the MIM Jazzmasters aren't worth $800 because they were made in Mexico, considering nobody has ever played one and the only two "reviews" on the Internet so far have been people saying they're awesome quality?

I think I rather have a cloud than a Prinz telecaster. The Prince telecasters are really weird guitars, solid fucking Maple body besides the walnut strip. The cloud copies by Schecter sucked, but there is a guy making one offs. I like the blue cloud. I saw an auction for a beautiful HS Anderson telecaster, that was made along with the Hohner labeled ones and before the later version Hohner "Prinz" ones after they got famous for him playing them.
If you're interested about these here is a good resource page.
