but theres a problem.

OH MY GAWD!

It seems that in the heat of a set the singer jumped onto the guy's headstock leaving it like this for several months before landing in the hands of a shortscalite.

It came with all the original hardware, tuners, etc. along with some hipshot detuner on the LOW E slot. The original kluson is going back.

I don't think that's fixable. I think a neck replacement is in order.

I took off all the frets so as to sand and reradius the neck for neatness, using a 10' radius block present on these Toronados.

Image
I'm going to go for smaller vintage styles frets (versus the worn out medium jumbos that were on there) and sand/refinish the back of the neck

I also cleaned off the tape residue and stickers left on the body.

I don't know, the tort on these things are really ugly. Maybe a new pg is in order.

Robt would fix it. Hell, it's an opportunity to see what would happen. RObroe too. $100 is a steal! Good on you.

Make a new one and use that to copy it.

Maybe that repair will ok. That may be a good neck to strip and paint.

Sub laughs in the face of pessimism. That actually looks like it might just work, and it'll give you a story to tell. For that price, bargain. The frets might even help to keep it together, you never know.

it looked like a clean break.
its definitly work trying to slvage, if anything just for fun.
looks like it will work fine.
you i saw those neck pics in the back ground of the bronco pics and thought.
"what the fuck is he clamping like that?" and now it makes perfect cents.
i bet once you sand it down it will just look like a wierd grain line.

might be an excuse to put a matching headstock, mint pickguard, and jazzmaster pickups on there.

Nice one, they are great guitars. Looks fixable to me, like rob said.. it looks like a clean break. Well done.
Why the vintage frets though? This is the second occasion you have offended me today.

Haha, not on purpose man. Actually, for all the guitars I have, only a few have vintage frets. I've got plenty of jumbo or medium jumbos to get my punk on.

Do all Toronados have the "Fender" Spaghetti logo on the headstock? Sub, anybody?
