Power Supplies

What power supplies do you guys (and girls) use to power your stomp boxes? I am looking into to getting on but i am skeptical about the daisy chained adaptors, some of the other ones (which look like black boxes) seem like a better option but i was wondering what other people used so i could get some quick reviews. I am sure no one powers their whole board on 9v batteries.

I bought a generic cheapy daisy chain from eBay, and while it was great at first, it's quite noisy now. Then I bought a Visual Sound One Spot from a bloke over at offset - despite some mixed reviews, it's been great for me - I'd recommend it.

Some daisy chains have their issues, yes. And I used to be a skeptic after buying one before £15 on ebay that hummed like a barmaid on her knees. However you'll find a lot of love here for the Huddersfield based
Diago and their Power Station supply. I have one, Doog has one, Hurb has one. They're great. Can power loads of pedals (including multiple delays etc), quiet as a mouse and James who runs the company and does sales is a top guy. If you email him prior to ordering and reference this place, chances are he'll throw in an adaptor or two for free if you need them for non-Boss pedals. He really is a Legend.
Here at shortscale.org, we <3 Diago.

Like Mike said, Diago all the way.

Much agreed, no complaints about the Diago stuff whatsoever.

wow.... I am intrigued by this diago powerstation.... I just wonder can you really use it for all different kinds of pedals? how does it know what the pedal wants? how do it know?

Because pedals draw the current they need. It's Ohm's Law.

I enjoy the old skool technology of 9V battery. Don't use pedals much, just wooly mammoth and the occasional phaser so no need for a big power supply for me

Unless you're using rechargeables 9V batteries is an expensive and environmentally unfriendly way to power your steez. Although fuzz boxes last longer than most. For delays it's just stupid. Delay eat batteries like hungry monkeys.

Fuzzes don't need adapters - something like a Fuzz Face will last a year or more on single batt, a Harmonic Percolator can last 3 or more. I've heard Zach Vex is still has the original batt in his FF prototype.

Zachary Vex talks a lot of shit.

i've got a cheapass daisy-chain-in-a-box power supply, a tad noisy sometimes but does the job. I hardly ever use my small clone and trem so I usually can't be arsed to set up all five pedals and run my Big Muff and Crybaby on 9 volts.

I have one of those bigass Fuman pedalboard with the built in powerstrip/conditioner. It's awesome, but i just sold almost all my pedals and i might sell this thing too.
