And I love it. I traded Doug(Mr.Mustache) that pawn shop Jaguar for this and some monies. I liked the Jag, but I have enough Fenders and I've been wanting another semi hollow ever since I sold my Epi Dot. I can always find another Japanese Jaguar.

I must say(even though I didn't actually buy it) that for the price of these guitars I am impressed. Even the pickups sound pretty good, but I'm still probably going to change them in favor of some humbucker sized single coils, maybe P94s. What would youse guys recommend?

Here it is. The original pickguard is still with it, just not on the guitar right now.

WERD!!!
I've gots an old bluethatturnedintogreen one.
It plays awesome, but the stock pickups were never to my liking so I just put the GFS Mean 90 in it a while back. Sounds pretty cool, but I haven't been able to use it in a show yet, also it doesn't mix well with the stock neck humbucker, so I would say replace both.

I have a black sparkle one! They are fantastic for the price, I put some GFS Retrotron pickups in and it has a very jangly sound now, it's lovely.

On yours how high is the bridge pickup though? mine is like 15-20mm off the strings and it's the highest it will go so it's pretty quiet compared to the neck pickup, I dunno if you can get higher pickup rings or something but the action is really low already so the bridge can't be moved down.

Anyhow, this is mine:

I forgot to mention, I ditched the Bigsby for an Ibanez trapeze tailpiece because the tremolo unit was really stiff and unstable. It stays in tune much better now.

I just saw yours in the other thread, that color looks awesome. It's actually aged quite a bit. I like the way the mean 90 sounds, Im considering them now.

Man, that black sparkle is so cool. I wish mine had that finish. I dont like most sparkle colors, but black and blue sparkle finishes rule.

I haven't measured the pickup height, but I'll put up a pic in a few minutes.

Did yours actually come with a Bigsby and you bought an Ibanez tailpiece for it? Or was the Bigsby put on by a previous owner? Also is yours the thicker one? It looks thicker than mine in that pic. Mine's pretty thin like a 335.

No, mine already had the Bigsby on it, same as yours. I bought an tailpiece from a hardtail model on Ebay and fitted that. Mine is also a thin body it just looks fat like a Gretsch in the pics.

EDIT: Never mind, I used some brute force on the pickup and it must have been caught on the edge of the ring or something but after a big click it popped right up :)

Here it is after the slight modifications, I'll probably put the pickguard back on soon:

I think yours looks pretty hot in that red colour!

My bridge pickup is like 10mm lower than yours, at least. I'm thinking I may have put the pickup rings the wrong way around, considering one is thicker than the other :?
Oh I get it now. I thought you meant that it used to have a real Bigsby branded trem on it.
